Salary: USD 105,000 - 145,000 / annual
Ocient is seeking a Solutions Architect to support technical wins for Communications Service Provider (CSP) opportunities. You will work alongside Senior Solution Architects, Account Executives, Field CTOs, Delivery, and Product teams to help build pipeline, qualify opportunities, and demonstrate technical value from discovery through proof of value and production planning.
You will develop deep expertise in OcientAIQ solutions across CSP use cases including cybersecurity, autonomous networks, billing and revenue assurance, lawful disclosure, and network performance. The role focuses on understanding on-premises capacity-based economics for heavy analytics work, alongside governed, business-ready data products published to cloud platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting technical strategy for assigned CSP opportunities and helping build pipeline
- Participating in customer discovery workshops to gather use cases, data sources, volumes, ingest rates, success criteria, and deployment requirements
- Designing end-to-end OcientAIQ and Telemetry as a Service solutions, including cloud integration
- Learning and applying hybrid architecture and economics concepts
- Supporting technical partner engagements and documenting integration points
- Contributing to customer specification documents covering requirements, success criteria, and architecture decisions
- Partnering with Delivery and Data Engineering teams on schema, workload testing, and pilot execution
- Building demonstrations, reference architectures, and co-selling collateral
- Surfacing field feedback to Product Management
The role involves up to 25-35% travel to customer sites, partner workshops, and Ocient offices. You will be measured by growth in technical proficiency, contributions to proof-of-value engagements, and support of production readiness.
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of customer-facing solutions architecture, sales engineering, field engineering, or technical consulting experience
- Working knowledge of OLAP, real-time analytics, or data warehousing concepts across cloud and on-premises
- Exposure to at least one major cloud data or AI ecosystem (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
- Familiarity with high-volume ingest patterns (Kafka, file-based ingest, object storage, streaming, batch, CDC)
- Working knowledge of SQL and general ETL/ELT concepts
- Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and eagerness to learn
- Willing to travel 25-35% of the time
- US work authorization required; no visa sponsorship available
Preferred qualifications:
- Exposure to CSP, telecommunications, network analytics, OSS/BSS, or security analytics
- Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation, structured data products, or data governance
- Exposure to CSP data formats (CDR, IPDR, IPFIX/NetFlow, ASN.1, syslog, OSS event streams)
- Interest in developing expertise with semantic layers, ontology, knowledge graphs, or graph analytics
