Orkes is building a platform for workflow and agent orchestration that powers enterprise applications and AI systems. Founded by the creators of Netflix's open-source Conductor platform, Orkes helps organizations build, deploy, and operate mission-critical workflows at scale. The platform combines orchestration, integrations, observability, and resilience into a unified developer experience. As a Solutions Architect, you will become a platform expert and lead customers through training, adoption, and implementation of best practices for their orchestration journey. You'll partner with the sales team as a technical advisor during the sales process and collaborate with the product team as a customer advocate in the field. Your responsibilities include helping customers achieve data-driven outcomes through the Orkes platform by establishing clear architectural vision and identifying compelling use cases. You'll solve customers' biggest challenges in orchestration and application development across industries including logistics, fintech, cybersecurity, and healthcare, as well as cross-vertical use cases like application modernization, performance scaling, and resilience. You'll also engage with the technical community by leading workshops, seminars, and meetups. Required qualifications include 5+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud architecture, and customer-facing roles. You should have understanding of business processes across multiple industries and technical domains, knowledge of system design patterns, distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native architecture. Experience with integrations using REST and messaging systems (Kafka, MQ, etc.) and proficiency in Java are essential. Strong problem-solving skills, passion for learning, and a collaborative mindset are critical. Bonus qualifications include experience with orchestration engines or workflow systems (Conductor, Camunda, Temporal) and contributions to open-source projects. The role offers competitive pay based on local market rates, full-time employment via EOR vendor, flexible working hours, and a remote-friendly environment with a global team.
