Anthropic is seeking a Solutions Architect for its Applied AI team based in Sydney. This pre-sales technical role focuses on becoming a trusted advisor to large enterprises, helping them understand Claude's value and successfully integrate it into their technology stacks. You will partner with account executives to translate customer requirements into technical solutions, serving as the primary technical advisor throughout the Claude adoption journey—from discovery and evaluation through deployment. You'll support customers building with both the Claude API and Claude for Work, creating and delivering compelling technical content tailored to different audiences, from engineering teams to C-suite executives. Key responsibilities include guiding technical architecture decisions, helping customers integrate Claude into existing systems, developing evaluation frameworks to measure Claude's performance for specific use cases, and identifying common integration patterns to feed back to Product and Engineering teams. You'll coordinate internally across multiple teams and stakeholders to drive customer success, occasionally travel to customer sites for workshops and technical deep dives, and maintain strong knowledge of the latest LLM capabilities and implementation patterns. Ideal candidates have 8+ years in technical customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, or Technical Account Manager. You should have experience with enterprise customers and complex buying cycles, exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders (executives, engineers, IT teams), and strong skills in translating requirements between technical and business contexts. Experience designing scalable cloud architectures, familiarity with Python, knowledge of LLM frameworks and tools, and a background in machine learning or data science are valued. You should be comfortable with cross-organizational collaboration, enjoy teaching and mentoring, and have a passion for safe and beneficial AI systems.
