Aalyria is a leading aerospace technology company specializing in laser communications and software-defined networking platforms for satellite and airborne mesh networks. The company, which acquired technology from Google, is at the forefront of innovation in cislunar and deep-space communications, revolutionizing how planetary mesh networks are orchestrated and managed across land, sea, air, and space.
We are seeking a Solutions Architect with deep expertise in end-to-end SATCOM and 3GPP mobile network architecture to join our NTN/DTC team within the Spacetime division. This role sits at the intersection of space systems, cellular networks, and cloud-native telecom orchestration platforms.
Key responsibilities include:
• Design and optimize radio resource management (RRM), scheduling, beam management, mobility, and interference coordination mechanisms for satellite and NTN environments
• Support development of customer resource management solutions and Spacetime algorithms to be implemented by the engineering team
• Address satellite-specific constraints including Doppler effects, delay, ephemeris, beam hopping, power limits, and feeder link constraints
• Drive the design and implementation of advanced orchestration and resource management capabilities for Direct-to-Cell architectures, including spectrum reuse and coexistence with terrestrial networks
• Ensure RRM and platform implementation alignment with regulatory and spectrum constraints (ITU-R, regional regulations)
• Own architectural definition, product evolution, end-to-end system architecture trade-offs, and system-level optimization across the full stack
The role involves significant customer-facing responsibilities, requiring comfort interfacing with stakeholders at all levels and leading technical discussions with customers and prospective customers, with an eye toward business development. You will work at the intersection of 4G/5G Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN), Direct-to-Cell, and their evolution toward 6G.
