As a Solution Engineer II, you will be the primary technical lead during engagements with prospective and existing merchants. You will work alongside the sales team to qualify, shape, close, and support new and existing business opportunities, providing technical guidance on high-value deals.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the sales team on new and existing opportunities
- Creating and presenting product demos that showcase GoCardless capabilities
- Conducting technical discovery and architecting solution designs for prospects
- Working closely with the product team on improvements, new initiatives, and feature requests
- Partnering with implementation managers and customer success teams to ensure smooth client onboarding

Requirements:
- Experience as a pre-sales or post-sales solution engineer
- Ability to articulate complex technical solutions to non-technical audiences
- Proficiency with API tools such as Postman and debugging/logging tools
- Experience building integrations with Payment Service Providers
- Deep understanding of how APIs function
- Programming skills in at least one common programming language
- Strong storytelling and communication abilities
