Salary: USD 105,000 - 130,000 / annual
Litify is seeking a Solution Engineer, Billing Specialist to join its Go-To-Market team. The company is an AI-native legal operations platform built on Salesforce, serving 450+ enterprise clients including law firms, corporate legal departments, and Fortune 500 companies. Litify combines cloud-based technology, configurable AI workflows, and business analytics to help legal teams move from systems of record to systems of action.
In this role, you will be the subject matter expert on Litify's time, billing, and accounting solution (powered by Accounting Seed). You will support the sales team by conducting discovery sessions with prospects, understanding their billing workflows and financial operations, and delivering compelling demonstrations that address their specific needs. You will own the standard billing demo, keeping it current as the product evolves, and walk prospects through the complete bill cycle including time entry, pre-bill review, invoicing, payments, collections, and trust accounting.
Key responsibilities include: partnering with sales to position Litify's value proposition; conducting discovery to understand prospect billing workflows, fee arrangements, and firm operations; building and demonstrating solutions aligned with customer needs; serving as the billing and accounting subject matter expert for the Solution Engineering team; enabling fellow engineers on how to position Accounting Seed; partnering with Product to share market feedback and influence the roadmap; configuring custom demonstrations; answering billing sections of RFPs; and traveling domestically approximately once per month to industry events and client meetings.
You will report to the Director of Solution Engineering and work closely with sales, product, and implementation teams.
**Requirements:**
- 3–5 years of experience in a law firm billing department, finance team, or firm operations role (or equivalent Solution Engineer/Sales Engineer experience at a legal billing product company)
- Hands-on experience running a complete bill cycle: time entry, pre-bill review, invoicing, payment, and collections
- Working knowledge of billing arrangements (hourly, flat fee, contingency, retainers) and trust/IOLTA accounting
- Familiarity with legal billing concepts: rates, write-downs, realization, LEDES/e-billing, client billing guidelines
- Strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team to solve business and technical problems
- Willingness to travel domestically approximately once per month
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience with legal billing or practice management systems (Aderant, Elite, or similar)
- Previous experience as a solution/sales engineer, implementation consultant, or customer-facing role at a legal technology or financial software company
- Salesforce Platform experience (using, administering, or implementing Salesforce, Accounting Seed, or Salesforce-native accounting applications)
