You will own the technical relationship with customers throughout the entire sales and implementation lifecycle—from initial discovery through successful production deployment. This is a builder role establishing Kombo's European solutions team from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead technical discovery and product demos, translating customer requirements into integration architecture and design
- Create comprehensive technical proposals covering system architecture, security posture, and implementation methodology
- Partner with Account Executives to close complex deals involving engineering and executive stakeholders
- Own implementation planning and execution, troubleshooting API issues and unblocking customers directly
- Serve as the primary escalation point and technical authority until customers reach production and achieve success
- Build and maintain demo environments, code samples (Python, Node.js), Postman collections, and integration guides
- Develop sales collateral including security questionnaire responses, architecture diagrams, and technical one-pagers
- Document repeatable playbooks for discovery, scoping, and implementation processes
- Translate customer insights into product feedback for the engineering and product teams
- Help define hiring criteria and onboarding processes as the European solutions team scales

Requirements:
- 4+ years in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, or technical customer-facing roles at B2B SaaS companies
- Hands-on API experience: ability to read documentation, write sample code, and debug integration issues
- Proven track record closing complex deals with technical and non-technical stakeholders, with consistent deal values of €100k–150k+
- Strong communication skills: ability to whiteboard architecture with engineers and articulate value to executives
- Comfort with ambiguity and building processes and systems from scratch
- Preference for in-person, on-site work (not remote)
- Ability to own hybrid pre-sales and post-sales responsibilities (not purely one or the other)
- Self-directed approach requiring minimal structure or hand-holding
