As a Solution Engineer, you will be a technical resource embedded with the sales team, responsible for driving product adoption with enterprise customers. You will partner closely with sales to understand prospect business requirements and deliver personalized, tailored product demonstrations that showcase how Payhawk's capabilities solve specific use cases.
Key responsibilities include: developing deep expertise across all Payhawk product features and use cases; participating in RFI/RFP processes and responding to technical questions; delivering live product demos including integration scenarios and complex workflows; designing and documenting implementation strategies for prospective customers; scoping and delivering custom data exports to enable integration with client ERP systems; providing technical guidance on APIs and supporting custom integration builds; and collecting customer feedback to inform product roadmap decisions.
You will work across customer success, engineering, and product management teams to translate market insights into product improvements. The role requires strong technical communication skills—the ability to explain complex concepts to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise.
Required qualifications: 5+ years in pre-sales, sales engineering, implementation, project management, or enterprise software consulting; hands-on experience consuming RESTful APIs; 3+ years working with data formats (XML, JSON, Excel, CSV, flat files); basic programming language knowledge (.NET, Java, JavaScript, REST API); and demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Experience with accounting and ERP software is a plus.
