Cognite is seeking a Solution Architect to join the Technology department within the Value Delivery organization. This is a customer-facing role where you will work directly with key industrial customers, field sales, delivery teams, and product development to drive digital transformation across large international process and energy companies. You will lead end-to-end architecture and solution design, providing strategic and technical expertise to help customers increase productivity, reduce costs, and lower environmental impact. Key responsibilities include defining enterprise and solution architecture (including integration, data models, and data ingestion pipelines), expressing complex technical solutions through architecture modeling tools, and ensuring operational responsibility for delivered solutions. You will build strong relationships with C-level executives, IT managers, and business stakeholders to drive long-term adoption of Cognite's products. You'll collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Product Management teams to translate customer needs into product offerings, and train internal teams and partners in your area of specialization. The role requires hands-on technical work with data integration, data modeling, SQL, Python/Java, REST APIs, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud). You will independently manage integration activities using Cognite data connectors and extractors, and maintain deep technical and business expertise for Cognite's industrial AI and data solutions. Required: 6+ years as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, or Machine Learning Engineer with a strong technical background and willingness to contribute code. Preferred: experience in Manufacturing, Energy, Oil & Gas, Pharma, or Life Sciences. You must be highly organized, communicate effectively with all stakeholders, take ownership of tasks independently, and be open to travel.
