Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Software QA Engineer to join the Intelligence Systems team in Reston, Virginia. This role focuses on quality assurance for specialized engineering and products serving Intelligence Community customers. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans, identifying software defects, and ensuring product quality across defense and intelligence systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute manual and automated test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software and firmware products
- Perform functional, regression, and user acceptance testing with hardware-in-the-loop configurations
- Identify, document, and track software and firmware defects using bug tracking systems
- Collaborate with development teams to debug issues and verify fixes
- Create comprehensive validation plans with clear pass/fail criteria and traceability from design requirements to test procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing methodologies
Required qualifications:
- 2+ years of software quality assurance experience
- Testing experience in Linux and Windows environments
- Strong understanding of core networking principles and IP networking protocols
- Proficiency with network analysis tools such as Wireshark
- Experience with version control systems (Git, GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket)
- Experience with bug tracking systems (JIRA, Bugzilla)
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Currently possesses and can maintain an active secret security clearance (minimum)
Preferred qualifications include Python or other coding language proficiency, familiarity with automated testing frameworks like Pytest, experience with UI testing tools (Playwright, Selenium), and validation experience for harsh or deployed environments (ruggedized, airborne, or space systems).
