Unframe is an AI-first startup helping Fortune 500 enterprises deploy LLM-powered applications in days rather than months. Backed by Bessemer, Craft, and TLV Partners with $50M Series A funding, the company combines product-company speed with consultancy flexibility to accelerate enterprise AI adoption. This Software Engineering Tech Lead role is a deeply technical, hands-on position that bridges engineering excellence with strategic customer impact. You'll lead architecture and technical direction for high-stakes enterprise AI initiatives, working across Platform, Product, and Engineering teams. The role uniquely blends individual contribution—staying close to code and system design—with leadership responsibilities including architecture decisions, engineering standards, and customer-facing technical guidance. Key responsibilities include designing scalable, enterprise-grade AI solutions; partnering with Fortune 500 customers to solve production challenges; driving complex technical decisions around scalability, reliability, and system design; and influencing long-term technical direction across the company. You'll operate in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment where execution speed is critical, moving fluidly between deep technical work and strategic conversations with customer executives and senior stakeholders. Required qualifications: 7+ years software engineering experience with strong hands-on expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks. You need deep experience designing scalable production systems and distributed architectures, proven ability working with enterprise customers or large-scale deployments, and experience building AI/LLM-powered products. Strong architectural thinking combined with a builder mentality, excellent communication skills for both technical and executive audiences, and high ownership mentality in ambiguous environments are essential. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable writing code, designing systems, and engaging with customers. This is a rare opportunity to operate at the intersection of engineering, architecture, AI, product, and customer strategy within a fast-growing company, working directly with founders and senior leaders on initiatives that shape both product and company direction.
