Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The company develops AI-powered systems and operates at the intersection of autonomy, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking for military applications.
As a Software Engineer in Manufacturing Test, you will join a software development team responsible for ensuring quality across Anduril's land, sea, and air platforms. You'll develop test executive software that systematically validates products and generates analytics to improve development cycles. The role emphasizes automation, reducing operator burden through parallel execution, automated deployment, and data acquisition tools.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing applications for Windows and Linux desktop environments
- Integrating cloud data and deployment features with user authentication and security
- Writing Python automation scripts for debug and prototype development
- Triaging issues, performing root cause analysis, and coordinating resolution
- Partnering with end-users to translate requirements into features while balancing UX with engineering constraints
Required qualifications: BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent industry experience. Expertise in Python development, low-level code integration, device libraries/drivers, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps automation. Experience with multi-disciplinary teams (electrical, mechanical, manufacturing engineers), automated testing (unit, integration, system-level), and git version control. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance and able to travel to Costa Mesa headquarters 25-50%.
Preferred: 5+ years relevant experience, manufacturing/industrial software background, device communication protocols (USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485, Ethernet), WPF/C# desktop development, embedded systems, RESTful services in AWS/Azure, relational databases (DB2, SQL Server) or NoSQL, and test automation/cloud deployment tools.
