In this Software Engineer role, you will be part of an agile development team responsible for building and maintaining a market-leading, open standards-first platform. You will work in a collaborative environment that embraces agile methodologies, continuous improvement, and modern engineering practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementing high-quality product features as part of an agile development team
- Using AI tooling to accelerate discovery and delivery in your engineering workflow
- Collaborating with product management and owners to improve the platform and develop new features
- Understanding and improving local and cloud deployments
- Planning and estimating work to be completed
- Maintaining existing code and resolving reported defects
- Contributing actively to team culture
You will have a voice in shaping the platform's direction and will work on both backend and potentially frontend components depending on team needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong familiarity with Java programming language
- Desire to learn and curiosity to understand how and why things work
- Strong collaboration, communication, and teamwork skills
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities
- Ability to learn quickly and independently, gathering information and understanding complex features and environments
- Ability to use AI engineering tools to accelerate research, code understanding, prototyping, implementation, and documentation while applying sound engineering judgment
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with UI development using JavaScript and Vue or React frameworks
- Experience with development tools including IDEs, Git, Jenkins, Maven, and Bazel
- Solid understanding of RESTful web services
- Experience with identity management technologies and protocols (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, certificate & key management, cryptography)
- Understanding of enterprise-scale systems and security configurations
- Solid grounding in modern software engineering practices and design patterns
