SocialGPT is an AI-powered video editing platform where users upload raw clips and use chat to generate polished videos. The parent company, Scrollmark, has raised $8M in funding and works with major brands including Old Navy, Grocery Outlet, and Cetaphil.
In this role, you will manage the India market account for SocialGPT, creating and executing social media strategy in both English and one Indian language of your choice (Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, or Telugu). You'll be responsible for growing the account from the ground up, creating engaging video content that showcases the platform's capabilities, and building community around the product.
As an early-stage startup, this is a high-visibility position where you'll have significant autonomy and direct impact on the company's growth trajectory. You'll work closely with co-founders and cross-functional stakeholders to define the brand voice, content strategy, and market positioning for India.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing social media content strategy across platforms
- Creating and editing video content using industry-standard tools
- Growing the India account from scratch and scaling engagement metrics
- Managing community and responding to audience interactions
- Collaborating with multiple stakeholders to align on messaging and goals
- Testing and optimizing content performance
- Potentially appearing on camera as a brand representative
Requirements:
- Proficiency with video editing tools (Premiere Pro, CapCut, AI editing tools, or equivalent)
- Experience managing a social media account (personal or professional) and growing it from scratch
- Comfort appearing on camera
- Strong understanding of video content performance and creator trends
- Self-directed, reliable, and able to take direction from multiple stakeholders
- Fluency in English and at least one Indian language (Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, or Telugu)
- Open to candidates ranging from recent graduates to experienced professionals
