Salary: USD 127,000 - 165,226 / annual
Gusto is seeking an experienced sales leader to manage a team of 12 small business sales representatives focused on outbound engagement and conversion. You will lead high-volume, high-velocity sales efforts, driving weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets while building a high-performance culture.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Managing and coaching a team of 12 sales reps to achieve and exceed targets
- Leading by example through direct selling activities: phone outreach, product demos, and messaging refinement
- Using data-driven insights to inform coaching, skill development, and team initiatives (e.g., seasonality staffing, new activity pilots)
- Partnering with cross-functional teams on lead targeting, qualification, messaging, and handoff processes
- Building team culture, cultivating individual skill development, and guiding career growth
- Ensuring effective use of Salesforce and other sales tools
Required qualifications:
- 1+ years of people management experience in a sales environment
- 1+ years at a SaaS company
- Experience with high-volume, high-velocity sales teams
- Proven track record of establishing and exceeding measurable goals
- Salesforce proficiency required
- Start-up or SaaS sales model experience
Preferred:
- Experience leading sellers managing a book of business
- SANDLER Sales Methodology familiarity
