GitLab is seeking Site Reliability Engineers to join its Infrastructure Platforms team. This is a single application covering SRE opportunities from Intermediate through Senior Staff levels; candidates are evaluated holistically and matched to the role that best aligns with their experience and GitLab's current hiring needs.
Site Reliability Engineers at GitLab combine software engineering with operational excellence to keep user-facing services and production systems running reliably at scale. You will apply sound engineering principles, automation, and continuous improvement to build, operate, and evolve GitLab's production infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Keeping user-facing services and production systems reliable, scalable, and efficient
- Building automation and tooling that reduces toil and replaces manual work with repeatable, infrastructure-as-code-driven workflows
- Operating and improving GitLab's infrastructure to support 50+ million registered users and 50%+ of the Fortune 100
- Collaborating across teams to solve complex reliability and scalability challenges
- Mentoring and raising the effectiveness of your team (for Senior and above levels)
