Salary: USD 150,000 - 170,000 / annual
Setpoint is a fintech infrastructure company providing critical technology for asset-backed lending and capital markets. The company recently closed a $31M Series B led by 645 Ventures with strategic backing from Citi, Wells Fargo, and Andreessen Horowitz.
You'll join as a Senior Analytics Engineer reporting to the Head of Analytics, owning end-to-end data product implementations for external customers. This is a hands-on technical role combining data engineering, analytics, and customer partnership.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics models using Python, DBT, and SQL
- Own customer implementations for external data products, working directly with asset managers, business owners, and technical stakeholders
- Create and manage dashboards in internal and external analytics platforms to deliver actionable insights
- Prototype new data products for the product suite
- Collaborate with engineering teams to drive the data product roadmap
- Maintain clean, version-controlled analytics code using GitHub workflows
- Serve as a subject matter expert for analytics best practices
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or similar technical role
- Expert-level proficiency in DBT, SQL, and GitHub-based development (Python is a plus)
- Strong track record designing and maintaining data pipelines and models
- Experience in customer-facing technical roles with both business and technical stakeholders
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Preferred: experience with asset managers, business owners, or financial services datasets.
