Celonis is seeking a Senior Value Engineer to work directly with strategic enterprise customers in the public sector and defense, helping them unlock business value through AI and Process Intelligence. In this customer-facing role, you will identify high-impact AI opportunities within customer operations, design scalable AI-powered solutions that combine Celonis' Process Intelligence platform with leading AI technologies (Microsoft, OpenAI, Databricks), and rapidly prototype proof-of-value demonstrations.
Your primary focus is problem framing, solution design, and business impact rather than pure software engineering. You will facilitate customer workshops and innovation sessions, lead executive presentations, and partner with customer teams to ensure successful implementation and adoption of AI deployments. You'll develop deep domain expertise in specific industries such as supply chain and finance, helping scale that knowledge across the organization.
You bring 5+ years of experience in solutions consulting, data/AI consulting, technical pre-sales, sales engineering, value engineering, or customer-facing solution architecture roles. You excel at translating complex business challenges into technical solutions and communicating sophisticated concepts to both business and executive stakeholders. You have hands-on experience prototyping solutions with Python and modern AI frameworks, and familiarity with generative AI architectures such as RAG, prompt engineering, and agent-based systems.
Critically, you possess native-level or near-native French language proficiency (written and spoken), enabling you to confidently lead customer workshops, conduct executive presentations, and manage stakeholder interactions in French. A Bachelor's degree is required; advanced degrees in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields are a plus. Experience building or deploying generative AI applications is highly valued.
