Harvey is an AI platform transforming legal and professional services through frontier agentic AI, enterprise-grade infrastructure, and deep domain expertise. The company is scaling rapidly with strong product-market fit and world-class investor backing.
As Senior Workplace Coordinator for the New York office, you will own building operations, facilities management, vendor relationships, and the operational systems that enable leadership to make informed decisions. This is a senior individual-contributor role focused on the complexity and independence of the scope—not a people-management position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular office walkthroughs to proactively identify facilities, maintenance, F&B, service, safety, and space-readiness issues before they impact employees.
- Manage the day-to-day property-management relationship and own building work orders through resolution.
- Own facilities issues including HVAC/temperature control, plumbing, lighting/electrical, leaks, doors, appliances, physical repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Diagnose issues and route them to the appropriate building or vendor partner, follow through, and verify fixes are effective.
- Manage freight/loading-dock logistics and other building-specific operating requirements.
- Communicate directly with employees when building/facilities work affects the office; coordinate office-wide communications with the Workplace Manager except for highly tactical, time-sensitive updates.
- Track operational data, spend, and turn day-to-day information into actionable insights.
Harvey's culture emphasizes Decisiveness, Simplicity, and Job's Not Finished—moving fast on clear judgment, believing simplicity scales, and never being satisfied with the status quo.
Requirements:
- 4+ years in workplace operations, office management, facilities, or hospitality with meaningful facilities and vendor responsibility.
- Direct experience managing vendors and contractors and holding them accountable to scope.
- Working understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical/lighting, and commercial-building operations.
- Familiarity with work orders, certificates of insurance (COIs), property management, and preventative maintenance.
- Strong operational judgment and ability to distinguish isolated issues from patterns requiring escalation.
- Comfort with operational data, spend tracking, and converting day-to-day information into useful insights.
- Bias toward proactive floor-walking and identifying problems before tickets are filed.
- Clear, direct communication and willingness to communicate transparently about work within your lane.
- Experience with office relocation or opening is a strong plus.
