At Snowflake, you'll shape what the company builds and how customers experience it as a Senior User Researcher. You'll work alongside product, design, engineering, and marketing leaders to set priorities, make critical decisions, and bring ideas to market. Your deep understanding of customer needs and business goals will make you a trusted partner in strategic decisions.
You'll combine deep research craft, strong business judgment, and fluency with AI to drive meaningful outcomes. The role requires knowing when to move quickly versus when to dig deeper, and how to translate research findings into better customer experiences.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with cross-functional leaders (product, design, engineering, marketing) to set priorities that meaningfully impact Snowflake's customers
- Become an expert on customer needs, goals, your product area, and team business objectives
- Lead both qualitative and quantitative research, selecting methods and rigor levels appropriate to each decision
- Make product and go-to-market decisions alongside partners, working through tradeoffs, building alignment, and supporting launch and adoption
- Combine customer research, product usage data, and prior findings to identify opportunities and determine what needs to change
- Identify where AI can strengthen research efforts, apply it deliberately, and maintain high standards for results
Snowflake is positioning itself as a leader in the agentic enterprise era, seeking AI-native thinkers who treat AI as a high-trust collaborator. The company values low-ego individuals who thrive in dynamic, fast-moving environments with an experimental mindset.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of industry user research experience, with documented examples of decisions that changed because of your work and the resulting customer or business outcomes
- Deep experience across both qualitative and quantitative research methods; ability to explain methodology choices, limitations, and why evidence was sufficient for decisions
- Track record of earning trust from cross-functional leaders and working through difficult product or go-to-market tradeoffs
- Experience connecting customer needs to product and business goals, including identifying non-obvious opportunities
- Experience using product usage data alongside primary research to develop comprehensive problem understanding
- Demonstrated examples of AI applications in research work, with sound judgment about where they belong
