Fieldguide's AI agents help audit practitioners save up to 75% of time on manual tasks and unlock 4x capacity. As Director, Audit Transformation, you will lead the strategic shift from traditional audit execution to an agentic operating model. Reporting to the Head of Audit, you will define how financial audit agents are designed, adopted, and scaled across the customer base, serving as the critical bridge between Fieldguide's platform and the audit profession. Key responsibilities include: **Product Partnership:** Act as the audit domain expert in product discovery and roadmap planning for agent-based workflows. Translate practitioner and firm needs into product specifications. Work with AI architects and engineers to embed professional standards and practitioner judgment into prompts, workflows, and guardrails. Determine which audit procedures are suitable for agent execution, appropriate autonomy levels, and documentation requirements to satisfy professional standards and regulatory inspection. Pressure-test new agent capabilities with practitioners before launch. **Customer Transformation:** Own the transformation motion with Customer Success that guides firms from initial adoption through full agentic audit transformation. Build and scale the playbook, maturity model, and program structure. Equip Customer Success teams with frameworks, content, and training for repeatable, scalable transformation engagements. Serve as executive sponsor and SME on strategic customer engagements. Act as escalation point for complex methodology and adoption issues. Monitor customer health and feed learnings back into product and methodology roadmaps. Represent Fieldguide externally through content, webinars, speaking engagements (AICPA ENGAGE, state CPA societies), and relationships with standard-setters and regulators. Monitor regulatory and standard-setting developments (PCAOB, AICPA, SEC) and translate implications into product, methodology, and messaging. **Go-to-Market Support:** Partner with Sales and Solutions Engineering on market opportunities. Lead executive briefings, product demonstrations, and technical validation conversations with firm leadership. Represent Fieldguide on customer onsites to build credibility. Support Sales and Marketing with audit-credible narrative, competitive positioning, and content. **Requirements:** - CPA with 10+ years of financial audit experience at a public accounting firm - Senior leadership, national office, or innovation/transformation exposure - Direct experience with regulatory and standard-setting bodies - Experience designing or scaling a repeatable transformation or change-management program (playbooks, maturity models, training) - Strong expertise in auditing standards and audit methodology - Experience with audit technology, automation, or AI-enabled tools, audit methodologies, templates, or workpapers - Working knowledge of quality control/quality management standards as they relate to methodology and audit documentation - Ability to translate professional standards into structured workflows and logic - Strong analytical thinking and cross-functional collaboration skills with product and engineering teams - Executive presence and confidence to lead demos, onsites, and validation sprints with firm leadership and regulators **Nice to haves:** - Active involvement with AICPA, state CPA societies, or standard-setting bodies - Experience building or scaling a firm-wide innovation or transformation initiative - Experience in audit methodology, quality, or national office roles - Expertise in international auditing standards and methodologies - Experience with LLM-based or agentic workflows, prompt design, or AI-enabled audit tooling
