As a Senior Underwriter, you will lead the assessment, underwriting, and pricing of complex property and casualty commercial insurance risks. Your responsibilities include directing the review of insurance applications to accurately gauge risk exposure, developing innovative underwriting strategies to drive business growth and profitability, and collaborating with sales, customer service, and senior management to manage and grow the client base.
You will work with a compact, mission-driven remote team that emphasizes accountability, adaptability, and results. The role requires strong analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and large accounts simultaneously.
Ideal candidates bring a minimum of 3 years of property, casualty, or life underwriting experience, with demonstrated ability to forge strong broker and carrier relationships. You should have deep knowledge of insurance policies, admitted and non-admitted regulations, and market trends. Experience with multiple insurance lines and Dealer's Open Lot coverage is a plus. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is required, along with outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
