Altruist is building an AI platform for wealth management professionals. The Senior Trading Analyst role sits at the center of the advisor experience, managing order flow, trade breaks, and market events across equities, options, and fixed income.
You will be a hands-on individual contributor and desk generalist responsible for daily order monitoring, break resolution, and advisor support. Key responsibilities include:
**Equity & Options Desk Monitoring**: Monitor daily order flow and executions across equities and options, flag anomalies, review orders in the risk queue, support working not-held orders via algo strategies or RFQ, and respond to advisor questions on orders, executions, and market events.
**Fixed Income Order Support**: Process and monitor fixed income order flow (treasuries, municipals, corporates, brokered CDs), respond to advisor questions on bond availability and pricing, and flag pricing and settlement exceptions for resolution.
**Credit Risk Support**: Execute liquidations for margin calls and debit obligations, enforce PDT/Good Faith/Freeride restrictions, and route buying power questions to the Credit Risk team.
**Trade Lifecycle & Breaks**: Research and resolve trade breaks, process cancels and rebills, support the trade error account process, and coordinate with clearing and settlement teams.
**Regulatory & Control**: Execute work in compliance with SEC, FINRA, MSRB, and exchange rules; maintain clear documentation and audit evidence.
**Build & Improve**: Provide operational feedback to Product and Engineering during trading buildouts, identify manual steps for automation, and propose process improvements.
This role reports to the Manager, Trading and offers a clear growth path toward management for high performers. You'll work in a fast-paced environment supporting financial advisors nationwide.
