Flexport is seeking a Senior Trade Advisory Associate to join the Post-Entry team within its Trade Advisory division. The Trade Advisory team consists of business consultants, lawyers, and licensed customs brokers who provide advanced customs and trade expertise to help clients navigate complex global supply chain regulations and identify cost savings opportunities.
In this role, you will manage and execute post-entry filings on behalf of the Trade Advisory team, including post-summary corrections and protests. Key responsibilities include monitoring liquidation statuses of post-entry filings, maintaining PSC filing trackers, performing trade advisory analytics and reporting, and managing multiple PSC projects simultaneously while monitoring critical deadlines.
You will proactively stay informed on the latest customs regulations, government agency rulings, and industry trends relevant to clients. The role requires coordinating software solutions, automating data analytics, improving standard operating procedures, and managing ACE portal access and integrations. You will interface directly with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), clients, and internal stakeholders, providing timely responses and escalating issues as necessary.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining active communication across clients, government authorities, and internal teams; ensuring project timelines, statuses, and invoices are appropriately managed; and supporting Trade Advisory infrastructure and administrative requirements.
Required qualifications include a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and 2–3 years of trade-related experience in-house, at a customs brokerage, consulting firm, or law firm. You should also have 2–3 years of professional services experience. A Licensed Customs Broker credential is highly desired; a J.D. or graduate degree is a plus. You must demonstrate strong technical and business writing skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, expertise with Microsoft Office and Google tools, and strong data analytical capabilities. Deep industry knowledge of classification, valuation, duty minimization strategies, government regulations, and trade information is essential.
