You will be the first Total Rewards team member based in the Americas, with end-to-end ownership of compensation, benefits, and equity programs across the US, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico. This is a high-impact role rebuilding and scaling Airwallex's rewards infrastructure during a critical growth phase. Key responsibilities include: - Design and execute compensation strategy: salary structures, pay differentials, market positioning, merit cycles, and offer decisions - Own the complete benefits lifecycle: plan design, annual renewals, and broker/carrier negotiations - Manage equity programs and stock plan administration, compliance, and governance in partnership with the global rewards team - Lead Total Rewards initiatives end-to-end using market data and benchmarking to inform strategy - Support IPO readiness initiatives - Partner cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, People Partners, Payroll, Finance, Legal, and executive leadership on compensation decisions, org structure, systems, equity budgets, and compliance You'll work as part of a small, global team with close collaboration with colleagues in Singapore and China. This role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape rewards strategy at a scaling fintech company approaching public markets. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Qualifications: - 8+ years of experience in total rewards, compensation, and benefits, including supporting Americas and global populations - Experience building or managing a complete rewards program (compensation, benefits, equity) - End-to-end benefits process management experience, including broker and insurance carrier negotiations - Strong compensation data analytics capability; ability to own annual market review cycles and influence pay strategy - Proven ability to build models and projections - Working knowledge of US stock administration and equity compensation (RSUs, vesting mechanics, employee communication) - Experience at late-stage private, pre-IPO, or public-transition companies, particularly managing equity program changes Preferred Qualifications: - Multi-region rewards experience, especially with global frameworks managed outside your time zone - Familiarity with compensation and equity tools (Carta, BambooHR, Workday) and survey sources (Radford, Compensia) - Comfort operating with high standards, fast pace, high pressure, and evolving priorities; bias toward execution over process
