Nutanix is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to serve as the Federal Security Officer (FSO) and lead the company's National Industrial Security Program (NISP) compliance efforts. This role bridges security governance and business enablement, ensuring adherence to NISPOM (32 CFR §117) while supporting Nutanix's growing US Federal and Defense customer business. Reporting to the Director of Cybersecurity Legal, you will function as a critical compliance partner within the legal department, working cross-functionally with sales, security, engineering, and executive leadership. Key responsibilities include: - Serve as FSO of record and primary liaison with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) - Administer NISPOM compliance, SEADs, Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs), and related policies - Lead government and internal assessments, audits, and DCSA readiness activities - Oversee personnel security workflows, clearance lifecycle management (SF-86 reviews, adjudication, indoctrination, debriefs) - Manage Foreign Ownership, Control or Influence (FOCI) mitigation under Special Board Resolution - Serve as primary industrial security advisor to the Board of Directors - Develop and deliver Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) programs - Partner with Federal Sales and Legal teams to embed security in capture and proposal cycles - Ensure Day-1 classified program readiness and ongoing secure operations - Administer DISS, NISS, NBIS, and personnel security systems You will bring 7–10+ years leading industrial security programs (FSO, AFSO, Director-level security, or CISO with NISP oversight), deep knowledge of NISPOM/SEADs/ICD 704-705, DD254 administration, and DCSA assessment experience. An active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (or ability to obtain immediately) is required. This role is ideal for a security governance expert who thrives at the intersection of compliance, risk management, and strategic business enablement.
