Radiant is a nuclear technology startup building portable, mass-produced microreactors for rapid deployment to hospitals, data centers, remote sites, and military bases. The company is preparing for its first reactor test at Idaho National Laboratory and initial customer deliveries in 2028.
As Senior Technical Program Manager for Security & IT, you will own end-to-end visibility and delivery across Radiant's IT and security program portfolio. You'll manage eight concurrent programs spanning three states: a reactor program at Idaho National Laboratory, a fuel facility and manufacturing plant in Tennessee, warehouse and office buildouts in Los Angeles, site decommissioning, and a CMMC and NIST SP 800-171 compliance program.
Key responsibilities include building the system of record for IT and security program tracking (tooling, cadence, reporting), owning the operating cadence with recurring status meetings and cross-functional reviews, maintaining integrated schedules and dependencies across programs, sequencing IT scope with construction efforts, supporting the compliance program alongside executives, producing technical documentation and diagrams, and escalating risks early to leadership.
You will not write security policies or design networks yourself; instead, you'll ensure technical teams are aligned, unblocked, and delivering against visible schedules. You'll represent IT leadership in meetings, coordinate with facilities project managers and general contractors, and drive accountability through influence, clear artifacts, and disciplined follow-through.
Required: 6+ years in technical program or project management including infrastructure and security; experience delivering IT infrastructure into new construction, manufacturing, industrial, or healthcare settings; ability to read construction schedules and work with facilities teams; hands-on Atlassian (Jira, Confluence) administration; ability to read network diagrams and understand infrastructure/security concepts; experience in regulated environments (nuclear, defense, aerospace, life sciences); strong written communication.
Desired: CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, or FedRAMP familiarity; DOE, national laboratory, or ITAR experience; OT/IT convergence exposure; site decommissioning experience; PMP certification.
Role requires 100% onsite at El Segundo headquarters, up to 15% travel (heavier during site activations), and willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
