PayJoy is a Public Benefit Corporation providing mission-driven credit solutions to underserved customers in emerging markets. The company uses patented secured credit technology, machine learning, and anti-fraud AI to serve over 18 million customers while maintaining profitability. You will own end-to-end delivery governance for launching and scaling PayJoy's financial products—including smartphone financing, credit lines, cards, and new initiatives—across LATAM and South Africa markets. This role sits at the intersection of Product, Engineering, Legal, Risk, Design, and go-to-market teams, requiring you to act as the connective tissue between global product teams and local markets. Key responsibilities include: **Program Oversight & Execution**: Own comprehensive planning and execution for product launches in target markets. Develop project plans covering product definition, legal contracts, rollout strategy, and feature delivery timelines. Translate business and market requirements into clearly defined product and engineering deliverables. Maintain RAID logs, decision logs, and dependency maps; run weekly execution reviews and milestone tracking. **Engineering & Systems Coordination**: Work closely with Engineering to ensure backend systems, APIs, integrations, and configurations are launch-ready. Coordinate delivery of market-specific requirements (KYC flows, repayment logic, partner integrations, underwriting configurations). Own the production readiness checklist including monitoring, logging, alerting, runbooks, on-call coverage, and escalation paths. Coordinate with local partners and vendors on certifications, SLAs, and integration timelines. **Testing & Launch Readiness**: Lead UAT, Friendly Sales testing, and pilot rollouts. Define test plans and acceptance criteria with Product and QA. Track defects, prioritize fixes, and ensure resolution before go-live. Run launch readiness reviews with go/no-go criteria and rollback/incident response readiness. **Documentation & Compliance**: Build and maintain a detailed Product Launch Playbook covering country/product combinations to enable repeatable, efficient launches. Partner with Legal and Risk to gather regulatory requirements and define product customizations. Ensure all legal decisions and audits are properly documented and traceable. **Design & Localization**: Collaborate with Product Managers on feature backlogs and technical requirements. Partner with Design to ensure localized assets and approvals are completed before launch. **Cross-Functional Alignment**: Serve as the primary technical program lead across Product, Engineering, Legal, Risk, Design, Operations, and country teams. Facilitate structured working sessions to align priorities and resolve trade-offs. Provide weekly written updates to leadership covering status, risks, decisions needed, and timeline health. Maintain scope change logs and drive trade-off decisions using DACI/RACI frameworks. **Post-Launch Optimization**: Establish dashboards to monitor product performance (approvals, conversion, repayment, incident/error rates, latency, funnel drop-off). Partner with Product and Data to identify gaps and build iteration roadmaps. Support rapid experimentation and UX/UI improvements post-MVP. **Requirements**: - 6+ years of technical program management experience, ideally in fintech or lending - Strong technical fluency with API contracts, integration sequencing, observability requirements, and release governance - Experience launching 0→1 products in new markets or verticals - Proven ability to manage complex cross-functional initiatives with multiple technical dependencies - Experience building repeatable playbooks, processes, and documentation for scalable launches - Comfortable partnering with Legal and Risk on regulatory requirements and market-specific customizations - Highly organized with strong written communication and stakeholder management skills - Comfortable operating in ambiguity and driving execution in fast-paced environments - Strong bias for written communication and structured execution (RAID, milestones); ability to drive alignment across markets and time zones - English fluency required; Spanish and/or Portuguese strongly preferred for LATAM markets - Experience working with global teams across multiple geographies a plus
