Shield AI is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead complex, multi-functional software development programs. In this role, you will own end-to-end project management accountability across hardware and software engineering, legal, safety and security, business development, finance, supply chain, and operations teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage complex software development projects spanning multiple functional teams and cross-functional initiatives, ensuring timely delivery of both internal and external product deliverables across all program phases.
- Develop detailed, comprehensive project plans that track and drive deliverables. Establish clear timelines, manage dependencies, evaluate risks, and communicate status regularly to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Solicit, aggregate, and maintain a single source of truth for product and technical requirements from both internal and external stakeholders. Track requirement status throughout the development lifecycle to ensure fulfillment.
- Identify, catalog, and report on program risks across multiple teams. Assess potential impact, communicate risks to stakeholders on a regular cadence, and actively manage risk burndown throughout the program lifecycle.
You will operate largely self-directed, managing multiple interrelated projects simultaneously while maintaining strong organizational discipline and stakeholder alignment.
Required qualifications:
- Proven experience managing complex software development projects from conception through completion, including budget, schedule, and resource management.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and run multiple concurrent projects.
- Proficiency with scheduling tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent).
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills with the ability to motivate teams, set clear expectations, and delegate effectively.
- Solid theoretical and practical knowledge of project management principles, risk identification and management, stakeholder communication, and decision-making under pressure.
- Competency in both waterfall and agile project methodologies.
