Canva is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to own the planning and delivery of its Data program portfolio. This role sits within the Central Data Team, which partners with embedded Data Science and Analytics Engineering teams to deliver foundational data infrastructure, governance, and cross-functional initiatives that benefit the entire organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional Data programs aligned with company priorities
- Shaping the Data program portfolio through partnership with Data leadership on prioritization, trade-offs, dependencies, and sequencing
- Managing the most intricate initiatives such as AI-ready data infrastructure, data classification, and access control spanning Legal and Security
- Monitoring and tracking delivery status, risks, and dependencies across the portfolio
- Improving the operating system for delivery: planning hygiene, roadmap visibility, decision-making practices, governance, and scalable ways of working
- Supporting Data and engineering leads in maintaining delivery excellence through milestones, scoping, prioritization, estimation, and capacity planning
- Building partnerships across functions (Product, Engineering, Legal, Security, Growth) to drive alignment and unblock work through influence rather than authority
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, delivery excellence, and innovation
You'll take high-level mandates from Data leadership and translate them into locked plans with named owners, milestones, and tracking cadence. The work is genuinely ambiguous: workstreams are interconnected, requirements are often still being negotiated across functions, and you'll frequently be the only person with visibility across all moving parts.
Canva operates on a hybrid model from its Sydney campus in Surry Hills, with flexibility to work remotely while collaborating in-person when it matters most.
