Braze is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to own the localization infrastructure platform, an early-stage initiative to build AI-powered translation systems that replace manual processes and bottlenecks across the organization.
You'll sit on the Content Platforms team as a senior individual contributor with no direct reports but significant influence—setting direction, raising standards, and leading cross-functional collaboration. The role requires designing self-serve systems and driving technical execution of an internal AI translation platform while maintaining human judgment where it matters most. You'll help determine where human review is essential and design workflows that make that review fast, targeted, and high-quality.
Localization at Braze touches nearly every function: Demand Gen, Product Marketing, Sales, Enablement, Product, Engineering, Support, and regional teams. Your first priority is understanding the existing localization program—what works, what doesn't, and where real opportunities lie. The platform you build must be informed by this reality, not imposed on it.
This is hands-on work: you'll write code, ship prototypes, pair with engineers, and measure adoption. AI-assisted development is core to how the team operates—you'll be expected to use it, build with it, and develop strong opinions about its application.
The role is positioned as Senior TPM with localization as the initial focus, but the team owns a broader technical content operations remit. As the localization platform matures, the role will expand into adjacent problem areas. The right candidate sees localization as an entry point, not the entire scope.
You'll own the localization infrastructure product roadmap, architecture decisions, and stakeholder alignment. Partner with engineers to design multi-platform systems meeting complex, evolving needs. Build functional prototypes independently to validate ideas before full engineering investment. Design workflows and self-serve patterns enabling teams to move forward without central bottlenecks. Drive adoption of AI-assisted translation tooling while maintaining quality and consistency. Make smart build-vs-buy decisions about internal tooling versus vendor solutions. Manage relationships with translation and localization vendors, defining expectations and integration points.
The company welcomes applications from PMs, solutions architects, solutions consultants, engineers, and others with localization or content operations backgrounds. A working background in localization is a strong plus but not required; thoughtful interest in the space, familiarity with AI's impact on cost curves, and systems thinking are what matter.
