Valarian Technologies is a dual-use technology company building critical infrastructure to address evolving global security challenges. The company develops Acra, a platform foundation for secure enclaves that protect critical data across government and commercial workflows, enabling operational resiliency, technology adoption with IP integrity protection, disaster response coordination, and zero-trust environments.
As Senior Technical Product Manager for Platform Security, you will lead the operational, delivery, and governance execution for the platform engineering team, serving as the primary operational partner to the Head of Engineering. This role sits at the intersection of technical execution, product strategy, and platform security for Acra, a complex security-focused Kubernetes platform.
Key responsibilities include owning the operational lifecycle of external engineering dependencies—from scoping and scheduling third-party penetration testing to managing contractor budgets, statements of work, and project billing. You will ensure engineering operations remain financially sorted, compliant, and friction-free, with external technical deliverables aligned to internal platform engineering cycles.
You will serve as the crucial interface between engineering leadership and external partners, translating complex security, infrastructure, and operational requirements into actionable engineering priorities. This includes triaging pentest findings, managing vulnerability remediation workflows with engineers, and reporting clear status, risk, and spend metrics to leadership.
Specific ownership areas include defining and prioritizing the Platform Security & Trust Roadmap; translating pentest findings and compliance mandates (ISO 27001, SOC 2) into clear user stories and acceptance criteria; leading backlog grooming and vulnerability prioritization; orchestrating external security engagements as structured product validation cycles; managing external technical dependencies and third-party integrations; balancing feature velocity against technical risk; tracking security and product metrics; and driving product-led security value as a competitive differentiator.
