Salary: USD 75,000 - 120,000 / annual

The Senior Tax Analyst will join the finance team in a role focused on corporate tax provisioning, general ledger accounting, and cross-departmental collaboration. Work will be reviewed by senior tax leadership, providing mentorship and opportunity to refine technical skills in corporate tax operations.
Key responsibilities include:
**Tax Accounting & Provision (ASC 740):** Lead preparation and calculation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions. Prepare deferred tax asset/liability calculations, tax basis balance sheets, and valuation allowance analyses. Assist with tax footnote disclosures and tax rate reconciliations.
**Indirect Tax & Sales Tax Management:** Reconcile monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns across multiple state and local jurisdictions. Audit and verify customer exemption certificates and resolve billing tax disputes. Support state and local sales tax audits by gathering documentation and transaction details.
**General Ledger & Financial Reconciliation:** Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end tax-related general ledger journal entries. Perform detailed monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for tax-related accounts (accrued taxes, deferred taxes, sales tax payable, payroll tax payable). Identify, investigate, and resolve variances or discrepancies in tax accounts.
**Cross-Departmental Collaboration:** Serve as primary tax contact for AP, AR, Accounting, and Legal departments. Clearly communicate tax requirements and guidelines to non-tax stakeholders.
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–4 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting, corporate tax, or hybrid environment
- Working knowledge of ASC 740 income tax accounting principles and general sales tax concepts
- Strong analytical skills with ability to dig beneath surface of numbers and trace data to source
- Ability to articulate complex tax concepts clearly in written and verbal communication
- Comfortable working in structured environment with rigorous review of work papers and calculations
- Plus: Experience with Zuora, Sage, Anrok, or Salesforce
- Plus: Experience with or exposure to AI-powered tools with interest in leveraging AI for tax operations efficiency
- Bonus: CPA designation or progress toward CPA certification
