Arista Networks is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for the Pre-Sales team based in Bengaluru to support enterprise and commercial customers across Western India. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, partnering with Account Managers to understand customer pain points and identify opportunities. Your responsibilities include conducting whiteboard network architectural reviews, presenting Arista's Open Networking Data Centre and Cognitive Campus (including Wi-Fi) solutions, CloudVision (Network Automation), Security (Network Detection & Response), Endpoint Security, and Real-time Fabric Monitoring offerings.
You will architect and design Arista Data Centre and Campus network solutions using leaf-spine architectures, VxLAN, and EVPN overlays to capture additional sales opportunities. You'll perform hands-on testing to validate customer proof-of-concept setups and network deployments using new products and features. Additional responsibilities include developing design guidelines, recommending network improvements, partnering with the Sales team on RFP/RFQ responses, providing feedback to Product Management and Engineering, representing Arista at industry events and conferences, staying current on competitive solutions, and authoring white papers on technology and products.
You will report to the Systems Engineering Manager and work alongside industry experts and technical leaders. The role is supported by Arista's world-class TAC, proof-of-concept resources, and executive team support.

**Requirements:**
- BE/BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (technical degree required)
- Minimum 10+ years of L2/L3 networking design and implementation experience with focus on Data Centre and Campus networks
- Expert-level expertise in routing and switching including L2/L3 protocols (Cisco, Juniper, Extreme, Aruba)
- Expert-level knowledge of industry-standard CLI
- Expert knowledge in three or more of: Ethernet, RSTP/MSTP, VLANs, IP Routing, TCP/IP, BGP, eBGP, VxLAN, EVPN, Multicast, Spanning Tree, QoS
- Network Industry Certification preferred (e.g., CCIE R&S, JNCIE)
- Demonstrated work experience as Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales SE, or Network Consulting Engineer preferred
- Previous experience with network overlays preferred
- Experience with SDN and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) highly desired
- Previous experience building network automation using Python and Ansible desired
- Knowledge of competitive products, solutions, and services
- Ability to write white papers a plus
