Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the design and development of next-generation unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and command & control (C2) integration. The role focuses on end-to-end system solutions for platforms like Anvil, Altius, and Ghost—autonomous UAS designed for remote operations with minimal user input.
You will lead development efforts across cross-functional teams, defining requirements and system architecture for complex electro-mechanical and aerodynamic systems. Key responsibilities include designing and maintaining system components that meet functional and performance requirements in distributed environments, conducting rigorous testing and debugging to ensure reliability and scalability, and collaborating with hardware engineers and product managers on seamless software-hardware integration.
The role emphasizes hands-on prototyping, troubleshooting, and build experience. You'll develop automated test scripts and frameworks (Python, MATLAB, etc.), document engineering processes aligned with quality and regulatory standards, and support the full product lifecycle from development through production and sustainment.
Required: 7+ years of post-graduate industry experience in electrical, aerospace, or systems engineering; demonstrated expertise in systems design, integration, and test; hands-on prototyping and troubleshooting skills; ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; willingness to travel up to 25% for test execution and work onsite in Costa Mesa.
Preferred: Active U.S. Secret clearance or higher; experience with complex robotic systems; IP-based networking knowledge; mission systems and communications background; aviation airworthiness familiarity.
This is a hybrid role based in Costa Mesa, CA, with travel required for test planning and execution.
