Anduril Industries is a defense technology company transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. This Senior Supplier Industrialization Engineer role focuses on enabling development and production of Anduril's critical Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) supply base through cross-functional coordination with internal engineering, quality, supply chain, manufacturing, and direct supplier partnerships.
You will lead electronics supplier industrialization for EW products from early PCBA builds through production ramp, owning electrical commodities including PCB/PCBA (rigid, flex, rigid-flex), cables and wire harnesses, connectors and interconnects, passive and active components (ICs, FPGAs, processors), and RF/microwave components. You will execute supplier production strategies from NPI to full production across Anduril's EW business line.
Key responsibilities include vetting suppliers' production capabilities and facilities for inclusion in Anduril's Approved Supplier List with emphasis on PCBA, cable/harness, and complex electronics assembly. You will partner with engineering and suppliers to identify DFM, DFT, and DFA risks before design lock, with specific focus on PCBA manufacturability. You own manufacturing process development at supplier locations and initialization of new production lines and tooling, including SMT line configuration, reflow profiles, AOI/SPI/X-ray, and test cell setups.
Additional responsibilities include capacity expansion readiness, rough-cut capacity planning, and takt time studies to ensure throughput targets. You will develop manufacturing readiness deliverables including process flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, GR&R, and yield targets for all EW electronics assemblies. You will establish and drive performance via statistical process control (SPC) reviews at suppliers to monitor critical CTQ parameters, identify and drive product and process improvements, factory layout optimization, and Value Engineering initiatives to lower part cost, reduce supply risk, eliminate defects, and improve cycle time. You will support PSE, GSS, and SQE teams in ensuring suppliers understand quality criteria and support root cause task forces to close corrective and preventative actions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, supply chain, or related technical field
- 6+ years of experience in supplier quality and industrialization within an electronics manufacturing environment
- Deep PCBA expertise: SMT processing, wave/selective soldering, reflow profiling, component placement, and AOI/SPI/X-ray inspection
- Experience with electronics manufacturing standards (IPC-A-610, IPC J-STD-001, IPC-6012/6013) and strong understanding of DFM, DFT, and DFA
- Ability to travel at least 50% of the time
- Ability to be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Previous experience in defense, aerospace, automotive, high-tech, or related electronics manufacturing industry
- Experience with RF/microwave assemblies and high-reliability electronics
- Strong understanding of quality systems, standards, and certifications (AS9100, ISO 9001)
- Familiarity with developing high-tech products in a high-mix, low-volume environment
- Lean/Six Sigma certification or demonstrated continuous improvement expertise
- Exposure to working in a fast-paced, start-up environment
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
