OpenLoop is a telehealth platform enabling organizations to launch compliant virtual care solutions at scale. The company was co-founded by Dr. Jon Lensing (CEO) and Christian Williams (COO) with a mission to bring care anywhere.
You will serve as Senior Director, Employer, owning the employer vertical end-to-end. This is a strategic, builder's role responsible for generating pipeline, closing complex deals with self-insured employers, and developing broker and benefits-consultant relationships that drive market access.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning employer revenue end-to-end: building, managing, and growing a pipeline of self-insured employers while carrying the number for the vertical.
- Leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving benefits, HR, finance, and executive buyers, navigating procurement processes that often run through brokers and consultants.
- Developing and managing relationships with benefits brokers and consultants as a core route to market, ensuring OpenLoop is positioned and recommended in employer evaluations.
- Positioning OpenLoop's clinical solutions (starting with clinical nutrition and medical weight loss) as levers to reduce total cost of care and improve outcomes.
- Building go-to-market and operational infrastructure—playbooks, pricing approaches, and reporting—that move the vertical from early deals to a repeatable, high-growth revenue stream.
- Navigating the annual benefits cycle, aligning pipeline and close timing to open enrollment and plan-year decision windows.
- Working cross-functionally with clinical, product, operations, and customer support teams to ensure alignment ahead of employer implementations and launches.
You bring 10–15+ years of B2B sales or business development experience, with significant time selling clinical, benefits, or point solutions into self-insured employers. You have deep fluency in the employer benefits ecosystem, including self-insured plan design, total cost of care, and the annual enrollment cycle. You have established relationships with benefits brokers and consultants and a clear point of view on winning through channel. You are a proven closer of complex, multi-stakeholder deals with long sales cycles. You are comfortable building the machine, not just the deal—creating playbooks, systems, and structure that verticals scale on. You thrive in ambiguity and build your own structure when the playbook does not yet exist. You have hands-on experience with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms and maintain accurate, current pipeline data and honest forecasting.
