As a Senior Staff Systems Engineer on the Flight Control Actuation System team, you will define, design, validate, and verify system-level requirements for flight control actuation systems across Archer's aircraft portfolio. You will serve as a multi-disciplinary integrator, ensuring compliance with product and regulatory requirements at both the flight control system and aircraft levels.
Key responsibilities include:
- Authoring and owning flight control and actuation system-level product requirements with full traceability to business, technical, and operational objectives
- Ensuring requirement completeness, correctness, and compatibility across all interfacing systems
- Coordinating with other systems engineers to optimize the fully integrated system
- Collaborating with systems and safety engineering teams on functional breakdown, interfaces, and architecture definition
- Participating in trade studies and multi-disciplinary integration problem-solving
- Supporting suppliers in developing lower-level requirement sets alongside technical leads and subject matter experts
- Reviewing and assessing internal and supplier designs, documentation, and performance for quality and correctness
- Coordinating validation and verification processes at system level while maintaining process independence
- Contributing to verification plans, procedures, formal requirements verification, robustness testing, and performance analysis
- Supporting compliance documentation including certification plans, checklists, review reports, and issue responses
- Supporting development and review of aircraft-level technical documentation
- Contributing to process and tool improvements
You will need 6+ years of relevant systems engineering experience, excellent communication and organizational skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for learning and problem-solving in complex aerospace environments.
