Until is developing reversible cryopreservation technology to preserve organs and eventually whole bodies at subzero temperatures without ice formation, enabling transplants without time constraints and creating a bridge to future medical treatments.
The company is assembling an interdisciplinary team to solve the grand challenge of organ preservation through perfusion systems, cryoprotectant formulations, and vitrification/rewarming hardware.
This Senior Power Electronics Engineer role focuses on solving the rewarming problem—how to rapidly and uniformly rewarm whole organs and bodies to restart cryopreserved biology. This requires MHz-frequency energy delivery into complex biological loads, involving high-voltage resonant power conversion, very high circulating currents, demanding insulation and safety constraints, and RF behavior that pushes beyond conventional power electronics design.
You will own the architecture of extreme power electronics hardware from first principles. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable deriving back-of-the-envelope models from circuit laws, electromagnetics, and thermal physics as running simulation tools and building hardware in the lab. You'll work with an elite team of electrical engineers and physicists who have high autonomy, strong first-principles thinking, and a desire to build technology that feels impossible until it works.
This is a hands-on role combining theoretical rigor with practical hardware development, requiring deep expertise in power conversion, RF design, thermal management, and the ability to navigate novel engineering challenges in a biotech context.
