Shield AI is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer, Operations Analysis to lead modeling, simulation, and analysis of its autonomous aircraft systems. In this role, you will perform multi-level analysis—from component and system through mission and campaign—to evaluate effectiveness, survivability, and operational impact of Shield AI's aircraft across diverse domains, missions, and applications.
You will work at the intersection of defense operations, data science, and systems engineering. Key responsibilities include:
• Conduct operational analysis using modeling and simulation (M&S) techniques to assess system performance in realistic and contested environments
• Evaluate design trade-offs and inform product decisions through rigorous analysis
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and defense stakeholders to translate operational requirements into technical insights
• Support customer engagements by demonstrating how Shield AI's AI-powered autonomous platforms perform under operational stress
• Develop and refine analytical frameworks for assessing aircraft survivability and mission effectiveness
This is a technical leadership role for an experienced analyst with deep expertise in military operations, M&S methodologies, and operational analysis. You will guide analysis strategy and mentor junior analysts while maintaining hands-on involvement in complex modeling efforts. Your work directly influences product roadmap and customer confidence in Shield AI's autonomous systems.
