Suno is building the world's first creative entertainment platform for music creation, backed by leading investors including NVIDIA Ventures, Union Square Ventures, and Menlo Ventures. As the fastest-growing consumer entertainment company and leader in AI music, Suno is seeking its first dedicated data scientist on the Trust & Safety team.
In this role, you will be the quantitative backbone of Suno's trust and safety initiatives, working at the intersection of product, engineering, and legal. You'll define and evaluate metrics for the health of the trust and safety ecosystem, analyzing and contributing to models and algorithms for bot detection, content filtering, and copyright detection. You'll design and run end-to-end online experiments to measure the real impact of Trust & Safety changes, turning results into clear recommendations for the product and engineering teams. You'll partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to size opportunities and shape the Trust & Safety roadmap, while contributing to building strong data foundations alongside the broader data science team.
You'll need 6–8 years of data science or closely related analytical experience, with several years specifically in trust & safety or adjacent domains like spam/fraud detection, integrity, or policy-adjacent ML. Strong hands-on proficiency in SQL and Python is essential, along with demonstrated experience running online experiments end-to-end—from ideation and metrics selection through analysis and decision-making. You should have built metrics or evaluation frameworks from scratch without established precedent. Nice-to-haves include experience training and building predictive ML models (both offline and real-time) and a background as a musician or creative hobbyist.
This is a full-time, in-office role based in San Francisco, requiring 5 days per week on-site per company policy.
