Remote is a global employment platform that helps organizations recruit, pay, and manage international teams compliantly. This role establishes and leads Remote's benefits compliance function, ensuring benefits programs, operations, vendor processes, and product workflows remain compliant with country-specific statutory and regulatory requirements across Remote's global footprint.
You will partner closely with Benefits Operations, Benefits Solutions, Legal, Payroll, Finance, Product, and external advisors to define compliance standards, identify and mitigate regulatory risks, strengthen internal controls, and support reliable benefits delivery. Key responsibilities include monitoring and interpreting benefits compliance requirements across multiple countries; overseeing statutory benefits filings and mandatory reporting; conducting regular audits of benefits processes, data, vendor outputs, and payroll inputs; designing and maintaining compliance controls, SOPs, and country-specific guidance; translating regulatory requirements into operational and product requirements; and supporting vendor governance.
You will identify compliance gaps and operational risks, document root causes, recommend remediation plans, and drive issues to resolution. You'll track compliance incidents and contribute to reporting and dashboards that improve visibility and accountability. The role also involves staying current with global benefits legislation and regulatory updates, communicating relevant changes to stakeholders, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that reduce manual work and strengthen compliance outcomes.
This is a fully remote position based in the EMEA region, offering exposure to complex global benefits topics including statutory benefits, pensions, health insurance, and multi-product benefits delivery. You'll help increase the value of Remote's benefits product for customers while improving compliance controls and reducing operational risk.
