Salary: GBP 100,000 - 120,000 / annual
Extreme Networks is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to lead technical strategy and complex solution design across the UK and Ireland region. You will be the technical lead on strategic enterprise accounts spanning sectors including enterprise, public sector, healthcare, education, and critical national infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning technical strategy for complex deals and designing end-to-end solutions across fabric, wireless, SD-WAN, security, and cloud management platforms
- Leading RFP and tender responses (including public sector frameworks), proof-of-concept projects, and customer demonstrations
- Presenting technical solutions with impact to audiences ranging from engineering teams to CIO and board level
- Building and maintaining trusted relationships with customers and partners, advocating for their needs internally
- Mentoring junior Solutions Engineers and leading partner and MSP enablement programs
- Serving as account technical lead when needed
- Traveling primarily across the UK and Ireland to support customer engagements
You will work in a hybrid model based in London, supporting a fast-growing region within a Gartner Magic Quadrant leader that has recently expanded its portfolio through strategic acquisitions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Typically 7+ years of experience in networking pre-sales with a proven track record of closing large, complex deals
- Deep technical knowledge of L2/3 switching, IPv4/v6 routing, fabric and overlay technologies (SPB, VXLAN/EVPN), Wi-Fi design, and network security
- Excellent presentation skills and strong hands-on experience with lab environments and proof-of-concept delivery
- Demonstrated tenacity, ownership mindset, and customer-first approach
DESIRABLE:
- Experience with cloud-managed networking, virtualization, SD-WAN/SASE, and automation/APIs
- Partner enablement experience
- UK public sector experience or SC clearance
- Industry certifications (Extreme certifications welcome but not required)
