As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will drive revenue growth by evangelizing Teleport's technology through technical demonstrations and deep technical discussions with infrastructure engineering and security teams. You will partner with account executives and other solutions engineers to understand customer challenges, architect secure and scalable solutions, and guide prospects through technical evaluations and proof-of-value engagements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering with Account Executives to expand technical discovery and map Teleport's capabilities to customer initiatives
- Architecting and delivering compelling demos and proof-of-concepts showcasing Zero Trust principles, identity governance, and identity security
- Acting as a trusted advisor to engineering, platform engineering, DevSecOps, and security leaders
- Advising on protecting sensitive datasets and model endpoints with identity-based controls
- Positioning Teleport as a solution to eliminate API keys and static tokens in machine pipelines
- Supporting customers exploring AI/LLM use cases for secure infrastructure in training and inference workloads
- Providing structured feedback to Product and Engineering on feature gaps and market needs
- Collaborating with Marketing on thought leadership around identity and AI security
- Supporting channel and technology partners with technical enablement
- Contributing to go-to-market activities including marketing collateral, product positioning, customer interviews, and conference attendance
You will demonstrate high levels of empathy, resilience, and humility while listening deeply to customer feedback.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience in pre-sales engineering, solutions architecture, DevSecOps, or highly technical customer-facing roles
- Experience using, configuring, and debugging Linux machines and network issues
- Strong understanding and hands-on troubleshooting experience with Kubernetes
- Strong knowledge of at least one cloud computing platform
- Strong knowledge of DevSecOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and securing infrastructure at scale (source control, code reviews, unit testing, agile principles)
- Advanced understanding of identity security and modern Zero Trust security approaches
- Proven ability to develop scripts and automation using Linux shell, Go, and Infrastructure as Code tools
- Strong understanding of system architecture, provisioning, and administration
- Familiarity with AI/LLM infrastructure (GPU clusters, data governance, inference workloads, ML pipelines) and associated security requirements
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to troubleshoot complex issues
- Ability to engage both technical and executive stakeholders with credibility and clarity
- Strong presentation, demo, and white-boarding skills
