Synthesia, the world's leading AI video platform used by over 90% of the Fortune 100, is hiring a Senior Solutions Engineer to build its presales function in the DACH region (Zurich, Munich, Berlin, or London). This is a founding role—you'll be one of the first SEs in the region, shaping playbooks, tooling, and best practices as the team scales, rather than following an established model. You will partner with Account Executives, Customer Success, and Product Marketing to run discovery calls, deliver compelling demos, scope POCs, and design technical solutions for each deal. You'll act as a trusted advisor focused on customer value, bringing field insights back to the Product team. Key responsibilities include: **Sales Cycle Ownership:** Co-plan and execute discovery calls to understand customer requirements, technical environment, and business challenges. Design and deliver demos that solve customer problems and quantify value. Understand and overcome technical objections; identify blockers early and develop solution paths. Support stakeholder workshops on complex, multi-stakeholder deals. Partner with Account Executives on account strategy, competitive positioning, and forecast management. **Demo Excellence:** Design repeatable demo methodologies proving Synthesia's business value across Studio, Roleplay Sessions, and Interactive Avatars. Identify and empower executive champions within customer organizations. Develop and maintain reusable assets (demo environments, use cases, integration templates, objections, industry playbooks). Support POC and pilot readouts as business narratives with storytelling and executive presence. Provide technical guidance on platform capabilities, APIs, SDKs, security, compliance (SOC 2, GDPR, enterprise identity), and scalability. **Product & Industry Expertise:** Maintain deep expertise on Synthesia's platform capabilities, roadmap, and positioning. Develop vertical-specific knowledge to build credibility with executive buyers. Share customer and prospect feedback to pre-sales leadership and Product; flag pain points and missing capabilities. Stay ahead of the AI-native learning and enablement space. **Ecosystem Collaboration:** Work with Product, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Enablement to share feedback, apply messaging, contribute to reusable assets, and ensure clean handovers from POCs to production deployments. Synthesia was founded in 2017 and is headquartered in London with offices across Europe and the US. The company recently closed a Series E funding round raising $200 million, bringing valuation to $4 billion and total funding to over $530 million from premier investors including Accel, NVentures (Nvidia's VC arm), Kleiner Perkins, GV, and Evantic Capital. **Requirements:** - 5+ years of pre-sales, solutions engineering, or customer-facing technical experience at SaaS companies - Strong consultative discovery, stakeholder management, and communication skills; ability to engage credibly with executive decision-makers (CHRO, CLO, Head of L&D, CTO) and technical audiences (IT, security, developers) - Technical depth in at least one area: creation flows, APIs, integrations (LMS, HCM, CRM, identity), security, or compliance; willingness to learn quickly across domains - Fluency with sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC and Command of the Message; comfort translating technical requirements into business value and ROI conversations - Consultative approach to problem-solving; comfort gathering requirements and adapting solutions to customer needs - Excellent business and technical presentation skills, in person and remote; ability to explain complex AI and integration concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences - Self-motivated and organized; ability to manage multiple POCs, demos, and customer conversations simultaneously - Collaborative mindset; thrives working with AEs, Product, Customer Success, and other teams - Product orientation; genuine curiosity about how customers use technology - Willing to travel; willingness to visit key customers for discovery, executive conversations, and on-site demos
