Salary: EUR 62,902 - 78,660 / annual

Planet designs, builds, and operates the largest constellation of imaging satellites in history, delivering empirical earth observation data via a cloud-based platform to commercial, environmental, and humanitarian sectors. As a Pre-Sales Senior Solutions Architect focused on the NATO community, you will design complex solutions demonstrating the value of Planet's data and services to help defense and intelligence organizations overcome earth data challenges. You will act as a trusted technical advisor, architecting and delivering solution demonstrations that highlight Planet's technical capabilities and business value. Key responsibilities include building relationships with customers' technical and management staff, crafting technical responses to tenders and RFPs, partnering with sales teams to shape account strategy, and collaborating cross-functionally with Customer Success, Product Management, and Business Development. You will represent the needs of Defense and Intelligence customers to sales leadership, communicate forecasts and pipeline opportunities, mentor team members, and potentially present to key NATO executive stakeholders. The role requires up to 25% travel, including international travel. This is a full-time position based in the Netherlands or Belgium. If located near an office, you are expected to work from that office 3 days per week. The role is part of Planet's global team with offices in San Francisco, Washington DC, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, and The Netherlands. REQUIREMENTS: - 6+ years of relevant work experience supporting the NATO community in a technical capacity - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field - Expertise working with GIS and Remote Sensing users within the Defense industry - Experience in IMINT (Imagery Intelligence), ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance), and related fields - Proficiency with geospatial software: QGIS, SocetGXP, ArcGIS, GDAL, Python, and emerging technologies such as AI/ML - Ability to process imagery, manipulate geospatial data, interact with APIs, and build data pipelines - Experience designing and presenting complex systems that bridge business problems and technology - Ability to lead technical customer engagements and run workshops/training sessions - Excellent verbal and written communication skills; professional working proficiency in English - Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Ability to travel up to 25%, including internationally - Obtaining and maintaining eligibility for a NATO security clearance is required
