Snowflake is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer (Expansion) to serve as a strategic technical leader for enterprise customers and prospects in Malaysia, with a focus on Telecommunications and Financial Services sectors.
You will partner closely with Account Executives to drive adoption, workload expansion, and multi-line-of-business growth. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior technical and business stakeholders, you will guide customers on leveraging Snowflake as the core of their data, analytics, and AI strategy.
Key responsibilities include: owning technical expansion strategy for a portfolio of Telco and FSI customers; identifying new workloads and use cases to land on Snowflake (risk & compliance, customer 360, network analytics, fraud detection, revenue assurance, real-time personalization); presenting Snowflake technology to executives and technical teams; leading technical discovery sessions with architects and data leaders; crafting target-state architectures and implementation roadmaps; designing and delivering compelling demos and POCs; guiding customers on best practices for data modeling, performance optimization, cost governance, and security; collaborating with Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, Product, and partners; capturing field feedback to influence product roadmap priorities; and mentoring junior Solution Engineers.
You bring 7+ years of customer-facing technical experience in data/analytics or cloud environments, with strong hands-on expertise in cloud data platforms, data warehousing, or big data technologies (Snowflake, SQL data warehouses, Hadoop/Spark, cloud-native services). You are proficient in SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data/analytics (Python preferred). You have proven ability to design and communicate architectures for data integration, warehousing, BI/analytics, and data science/ML workloads. Industry experience or strong exposure in FSI (banks, insurers, capital markets, payment providers) and/or Telco is required.
