Snowflake is seeking a Senior Solution Engineer for the UK market to solve complex customer data challenges and drive technical wins in the sales cycle. You will work directly with account sales teams and channel partners to understand customer needs, strategize support during evaluations, and position Snowflake as the optimal solution.
Key responsibilities include presenting Snowflake's technology and vision to executives and technical teams at prospects and customers; working hands-on with customers to demonstrate value through demos, proofs of concept, design, and implementation; creating and developing technical champions within accounts to drive deals; staying current with Snowflake's roadmap and confidently presenting new features; maintaining deep knowledge of competitive and complementary technologies to position Snowflake effectively; collaborating with other solution engineers to share learnings from wins and losses; partnering with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve products and marketing; representing Snowflake at industry and customer events; and working with ecosystem and implementation partners to build joint architectures and account strategies.
You will proactively contribute to account and territory planning while engaging with the broader internal and external ecosystem. Success requires translating technical features and functions into business solutions for both technical and executive audiences, whether through impromptu whiteboard sessions or formal presentations and demos.
Required qualifications include solution engineering or solution architect experience in a SaaS environment or relevant industry experience (analytics, data science, data engineering); outstanding presentation skills for technical and executive audiences; understanding of data architecture, analytics, and cloud technology; hands-on SQL experience; ability to solve customer-specific business problems; and strong customer-facing communication skills both written and verbal.
Preferred experience includes financial services industry background, Python proficiency, modern data technology exposure (dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tooling, orchestration, git), and familiarity with AI, data science, and machine learning technologies.
