Cognite is a leader in industrial digitalization, AI, and data solutions serving large process and energy industries. As a Senior Solution Architect, you will be a customer-facing technical leader within the Value Delivery organization, working directly with key enterprise customers, field sales, delivery teams, and product development.
You will own end-to-end solution architecture and design, defining enterprise solutions including integration models, data pipelines, and user-facing applications. Your responsibilities include providing strategic and technical expertise to support customers through successful project delivery, building strong relationships with C-level executives and IT/Business Data Managers, and ensuring long-term adoption of Cognite's products.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead architecture and solution design from conception through delivery
- Design enterprise and solution architecture, including data models, integration pipelines, and user interfaces
- Express complex technical solutions using architecture modeling tools
- Manage integration, data modeling, and related activities using Cognite connectors, SQL, Python/Java, REST APIs, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
- Train internal teams and partners in your area of specialization
- Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Product Management to translate customer needs into product offerings
- Develop and maintain technical and business expertise for Cognite's product suite
- Ensure operational responsibility and support agreements for delivered solutions
Required: 8+ years as a Software Engineer, Data Engineer, or Machine Learning Engineer with strong hands-on Python skills and software development best practices. Preferred: experience in Manufacturing, Energy, Oil & Gas, Pharma, or Life Sciences. You must be highly organized, communicate effectively with all stakeholders, take ownership independently, and be willing to travel.
