ixigo is a leading online travel aggregator in India, founded in 2007, serving over 54 crore annual active users. The company powers travel planning and booking across rail, air, buses, and hotels using proprietary AI algorithms.
You will develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications using modern JavaScript technologies. Your responsibilities include building responsive, user-friendly frontend interfaces using React.js, Next.js, or similar frameworks, and developing robust backend services using Node.js and Express.js. You'll collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality features, write reusable and well-documented code, and monitor application performance to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
You'll participate actively in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions, ensuring best practices in security, scalability, and maintainability. The role includes hands-on experience with npm packages and native webviews, with exposure to AI-driven development environments and specialized tools. You'll also be responsible for safeguarding sensitive company data and reporting suspected security incidents in accordance with the organization's Information Security Management System policies.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 4+ years of experience in full-stack development with JavaScript
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+); TypeScript knowledge is a plus
• Hands-on experience with frontend frameworks such as React.js or Next.js
• Strong backend development experience using Node.js and Express.js
• Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations
• Good knowledge of databases like MongoDB, MySQL, or PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience with TypeScript, Docker, AWS
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Playwright
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodology
• Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes
